to New Zealand individuals and businesses and overseas borrowers for various loan purposes. First mortgage rights on the securities are required to be taken by NPC. Without prior permission from NPC (mortgagee), the properties cannot be sold or re-mortgaged to another party.

NPC employs independent third parties to determine the value of securities, establish LVR (Loan-to-Value Ratio), assess loan applications and drawdown the loans.
